Luminescent Sea Anemone II (9" x 12" x 11") (23 cm x 30.5 cm x 28 cm) Frank Colson's luminescent sea anemone forms are a visual expressionism of the beauty of these remarkable living animals. Unfortunately, these colorful creatures are rapidly becoming extinct. According to the May 12, 2012 edition of Newsweek, "Human domination over nature has finally reached the sea." Colson’s interpretive luminescent forms are created with the use of small electronic laser-activate color modules. Affixed to these units are hundreds and thousands of fiber-optic strands. The resultant artistic grouping each simulate a cluster of undersea life!
